Side by Side

When we slow down and open with stillness to really see, even ordinary things shine.  The practice of generating real hope includes slowing down and really seeing what is already here.  Galway Kinnell speaks, in his poem "The Still Time": 

as though a prayer had ended
and the bit of changed air
between the palms goes free
to become the glitter
on some common thing that inexplicably shines.
