Christians have a beautiful practice at this time of year. The weeks leading up to Christmas are a time of Advent -- anticipation and patience with hope, peace, joy and love. This is the week of hope. If you want to mature your way of holding hope, here is a support for you:
light a candle and get settled
notice what you hope for in this moment and feel this hope as a natural human impulse toward goodness
bring that connection to goodness into your heart and allow it to expand; feel your warm-heartedness
toward your self,
toward what you hope for
toward others in the wider world.
